Ustadha Mariam Abohammer
Islamic StudiesMariam Abohammer is a graduate of the Faculty of Education, English Department (Class of 2019). She worked as an English teacher for six years, teaching more than 100 students between the ages of 5 and 15. This experience strengthened her ability to communicate clearly, manage different age groups, and deliver structured and engaging lessons.
She memorized the Holy Qur’an and studied most of the rules of Tajweed. Since March 2024, she has been working as a Qur’an teacher for non-Arab Muslim students, teaching Qur’an recitation, memorization, Tafsir, Tajweed, and Arabic language. She has taught around 20 students of different ages and completed more than 1,700 teaching hours in this field.
Mariam focuses on correct recitation, proper pronunciation, understanding meanings, and gradual memorization. She uses various teaching strategies to maintain engagement and ensure effective learning outcomes.
